About the event
A Community Conversation for Black Women Navigating Money, Career, Business, Wellness & What’s Next
Life can shift fast -- a job change, business pivot, financial stress, or a new season. This Community Conversation gives Black Women space to talk honestly about what’s changing, what they’re carrying, and what may be possible next.
Expect honest conversation, reflection, practical guidance, and meaningful connection -- not a day of sitting through presentations.
Choose the Conversations You Need
During registration, each participant ranks all three breakout conversations in order of preference. You’ll participate in two of the three conversations during the event, and we’ll do our best to honor your first and second choices.
Business Coaching + Career Navigation & Advocacy
Explore career transitions, entrepreneurship, consulting, professional positioning, navigating workplace systems, and advocating for yourself through change.
Financial Readiness
Talk candidly about preparing for uncertainty, protecting what you’ve built, making informed financial decisions, and rethinking income and resources during this pivotal time.
Mental Wellness & Identity
Explore what happens emotionally when your work, money, roles, expectations, or long-held plans change, and how to remain connected to who you are beyond what you do.
What to Expect
Facilitated discussions, meaningful connections, resource sharing, reflection, and space to identify what you need and what you can offer another Black Woman in the room.
Registration is $47. Doors open at 9:30 AM, and the conversation begins promptly at 10:00 AM.
Continental breakfast, tea & coffee, and lunch included.
Childcare available upon request during registration.
Before the event, take a moment to think about your 30-second introduction: your name, what you do now and/or what you’ve done, and what brings you to the conversation.
Event Sponsor
NAMI Contra Costa sponsors this Community Conversation. Their support helps create space for Black Women to gather, connect, reflect, and navigate change in the community.
